Description and Objectives
This course provides a systematic analysis of agribusiness firm level decision-making using
a broad array of concepts. We will examine the management of agribusiness firms and their
unique problems and opportunities. We will focus on decision making in the agribusiness environment.
Through the course of the semester, you will gain an understanding of the intricate relationships
that exist between agribusiness firms, helping you to become an informed and insightful manager.
The specific objectives of this course are:
1. Understand the challenges and opportunities faced by firms at all levels of the agribusiness environment.
2. Develope the ability to form quick, insightful opinions about agribusiness competition.
3. Foster the development of key business skills, namely verbal communication, written communication, and
decision-making.
