The red line shows net activity for all cotton bales in the loan (placements, redemptions, etc) which includes 2006 crop, 2007 crop, and 2008 crop. The red line thus reflects a lot of loan redemptions of old crop supplies over the summer. The blue line reflects loan activity for the 2008 crop, which is mostly placements into the CCC loan.
